Every computer needs a antivirus. And everyone think that he has the best antivirus. But those antiviruses might not be working well or correctly, So what we need to be sure if it works ? ...We should test our antivirus. For that, I'm going to give you a simple way to test your antivirus and check if it work well or not.
This test is called EICAR test that can be used with any antivirus software.
Follow the steps :
1/ Open a notpad.
2/ Copy the following text into the notepad then save it.
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
3/ Rename the file from new document to "myfile.com"
4/ Scan the "myfile.com" with your antivirus.
If the antivirus give a warning so it works correctly
